As the head of government emphasized, one of the drivers of the industry's development is government-subsidized loans, including for the purchase of equipment. The sanctions had a significant impact on the flower market, while they became an incentive for the development of their own production.
Currently, there are more than 135 greenhouse enterprises in Russia engaged in the cultivation of flowers in protected soil, with a total area of 325 hectares. The volume of the consumer market in the Russian Federation is 1.8 billion flowers per year, including imported products.
Last week, State Duma deputies proposed to increase import tariffs for foreign flower supplies before the March 8 holiday to three euros per kilogram, we wrote about this in more detail.
