According to the official, last year the region took the second place in the country in the national investment climate rating compiled by the Agency for Strategic Initiatives. Five years ago, the region was ranked 70th.
In 2024, work began on the creation of the engineering infrastructure of the Kulibin special economic zone. The process is planned to be completed this year. Roads, power supply networks are being built here, gas and water are being carried to the boundaries of each investor's land plots.

A technopark, 9 industrial and production buildings and the Quantum Valley Information Center are being built on the territory of the Kulibin SEZ. Several production buildings will be commissioned this year. Housing is being built for future employees.
Andrei Sanosyan also said that a multimodal port will be built in Bor as part of the third stage of the special economic zone. Preparatory work is being completed at this stage, and infrastructure development will begin soon. There are highways and a railway line that require modernization. The mooring wall will become one of the significant cost points. The port is planned to be built by 2028.
The joining of the Volga River to the water logistics of the region will be a serious step towards the development of the logistics structure of the entire region, the press service of the Government of the Nizhny Novgorod Region quoted Andrei Sanosyan as saying.
It should be recalled that in Nizhny Novgorod, the contractor is conducting engineering and geological studies to continue the construction of the metro.
